Introducing the Nodus Contrail GMT

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Nodus Contrail GMT, now in its third iteration, is a timepiece that has been meticulously crafted with the globetrotter in mind. This watch isn’t just about keeping time; it’s about keeping up with the relentless pace of world travelers and adventure seekers.

A Testament to Travel

The Contrail series was born out of a need for a watch that could cater to the very specific demands of the Nodus team as they journeyed globally to expand their brand and secure NodeX™ licensing agreements. As Nodus celebrates its seventh year, the enhanced Contrail GMT emerges as a response to both the brand’s and its customers’ evolving travel needs. With a presence at international conventions like the Intersect Watch Show and a commitment to satisfying the wanderlust of its team, the latest Contrail is truly a product of extensive travel experience.

Design and Innovation

The redesigned Contrail GMT is a marvel of engineering and design aesthetics. It boasts one of the thinnest profiles for a watch featuring the Miyota 9075 movement, renowned for its precision and reliability. The case’s slimness, along with a diameter of 40.5mm and an 11.8mm thickness, makes it an unobtrusive yet robust companion for any wrist.

The watch offers four distinct dial finishes—Laguna, Impulse, Terra and Polaris—each crafted to inspire the spirit of exploration. The Laguna and Terra dials feature a sand-grain texture, reminiscent of Earth’s varied terrains, while the Impulse dial presents a sunburst effect that mimics the vast expanse of the sky. The Polaris has a clean white dial with black and blue accents, These artistic choices are not just visually appealing but also enhance the dial’s legibility.

Advanced Features for Modern Travelers

Beyond aesthetics, the Contrail GMT is loaded with functional features. Its 48-click bidirectional bezel is fitted with a ball-bearing system, providing satisfying tactile feedback and precision. The bezel’s luminous sapphire insert allows for the easy tracking of three separate time zones, ideal for those who traverse various time zones frequently.

Visibility is key in any travel watch, and the Contrail GMT excels here too. The dial is designed for maximum legibility with a grey sub-chapter ring and a slanted black chapter ring for time tracking. It is detailed with large polished indices and hands coated with BGW9 Super LumiNova® for a clear view in low-light conditions.

Durable and Adaptable

Durability is assured with a 316L surgical-grade stainless steel case, providing excellent corrosion resistance and a water resistance rating of 200 meters. The inclusion of a quick-adjust NodeX™ clasp on the flat-link bracelet allows for on-the-fly adjustments, ensuring comfort at varying altitudes—a thoughtful feature for those accustomed to high-altitude travel.
